Snow Bunny Makeup Look on Danielle! :3

Hi Everyone!

On Monday night, I did a makeup look for my beautiful bff Danielle. I call this the Snow Bunny look since her mom mentioned that she looked like one and also based on the light pastel colors, the fuzzy ear muffs and the white laced dress she was wearing. I was experimenting and referencing from this online photo that she chose while browsing through one of my Pinterest Boards under Makeup Inspiration: Smokey Cotton Candy I love that she had this wig with pastel highlights because it worked perfectly for the overall look. I ended up giving her more of a purple/pink eyeshadow even though in the photo it looks like a pastel purple. We didn't have an slr camera so we couldn't capture the exact colors of the look. The end result made her look even more cute and lovely! Thanks for being my doll, Danielle! :D Enjoy!

Shoe shopping + Recent Styling

Hi Everyone!

Last week, I went shoe shopping and bought 4 pair of shoes. I bought Chinese Laundry brown wedge heels, Steve Madden black wedge sneakers, Steve Madden black flats with silver metal detailing and Guess nude & black heels. The Guess heels were already on clearance for $35 and on top of that I got the Steve Madden flats and the Chinese Laundry heels for a sweet deal using my $5 birthday coupon. I also got a free tote and a $10 rewards certificate. I'm going to share 3 types of footwear, one is a boot with a heel and a high sneaker that I wanted, but didn't get at the Steve Madden store in South Coast Plaza and also Jessica Simpson brand heels with gold circle studs on the back. Steve Madden has the most comfortable shoes, heels, flats, wedges and boots ever! Every time I've purchased from their brand, I have always been satisfied in the quality and comfort. I also somewhat like Jessica Simpson's brand. I also wanted to share a look I wore last week. I've been on a polka dot craze and I have been in love with my polka dot nylons. I wore it with my sandy tan high waisted shorts, grey top with a black bow design, brown flats and a black bow on my braided hair to tie in the cute bow tie/polka dot look. I also brought home a new buddy. I would like to introduce Cotton, the alpaca. She's super soft and fluffy like cotton candy which is where I got her name. I couldn't resist squeezing the adult and baby alpaca stuffed animals. Another item I have been wanting to get on my list is a jewelry holder. I found this awesome tree jewelry holder at Bed Bath and Beyond. I love the shape and the little holes to hold my earrings.

Earlier today, I went to Ulta for their Grand Opening at Bella Terra. I got $5 off + all the points I had accumulated to take off the total and a free bag of products containing lilac lotion, hair spray, lipgloss and a Vitamin C skin care product because of my Ulta membership. I ended up buying Katy Perry Lashes, Batiste dry shampoo and Freeman's Feeling Beautiful Facial Masks. I tried the Dead Sea Minerals one today. I love the soothing smell and the blue color of the facial mask.

On a side note, lately I've been studying Typography more. I'm trying to improve my skills and knowledge on type. The books that I've been enjoying to read are Designing with Type, Mastering Type, 1000 Fonts An Illustrated Guide To Finding The Right Typeface and Thou Shall Not Use Comic Sans (365 Graphic Design Sins and Virtues). I came across information that I already knew as well as new information to soak in. Well, I have to say it's been a fun week and weekend. Not only that, but last night I attended a fashion show + artistic gallery + live performances at Raw Artists event held at the Avec night club/lounge in Huntington Beach. It was my first time attending a Raw Artist event and I had a blast. My friend Hansini invited me because her friend was singing that night. She had a really lovely voice and I liked all of the songs she sang. Wow, I wrote a lot this time. I am going to have to stop here because I just realized my face mask is dry and it's been over an hour. haha..woops O_O

Heart Shaped Tip Nails + Roly Poly Inspired Outfit + More

Hi Lovelies,

It's been a long time since I've posted again. Sorry! I've been busy and somewhat uninspired to post the past couple of weeks. Today, I am sharing this super cute and easy-to-do Heart Shaped Tip nail design that I saw on Pinterest in which I had my friend help paint on my nails. He was sweet enough to paint my nails as my birthday gift! :) The second thing that I would like to share with you all is my outfit that I wore a few weeks ago. I paired high waisted shorts with this open back, hot pink shirt from VS and my lace bandeau and polka dot stockings. It was inspired by the catchy, fun and cute music video Roly Poly by T-ara. Couple of other things that happened the past few weeks was this new Japanese face mask I tried on called Seikisho Mask White. It actually made my skin feel smooth afterwards, but it was a pain to take off imo. Lastly, my signature simple makeup look I usually do when I need to get out the door fast! I used the first Naked eyeshadow palette with my favorite Tarte eyeliner, plus bronzer, blush and highlighter. Enjoy and stay tuned for more posts!

I Love The Edgy High Fashion Look!

Hi Everyone!

It's been quite a while since I updated. My schedule's been hectic and I haven't had time to really blog about anything. I am happy to say that I have a couple photoshoots coming up. Here's a practice look that my friend Tommy created this week. We went for a blue, smokey, cat eye look. I will be wearing this navy blue dress with the shoulder detailing that you see in the photo. I bought the navy blue dress from Masque. By the way, this clothing store is on my list of top favorite & affordable clothing stores to shop at. They always have unique clothing. Few other stores on my top fav. list are Angl at Bella Terra in HB and Fantasy at the Westminster Mall in Westminster. My photoshoot will be in September, which is also my birthday month. Yay! :D Anyways, stay tuned for next months photos from both shoots!

I'm in the Weekly LALALA magazine!

Hi Lovelies!

I'm so excited to share my recent print work/tear sheets! Not too long ago, I contacted JPy magazine and applied for a modeling position on their site. I got contacted and went to their location in Culver city to do a quick shoot showcasing about me, my fashion style, beauty tips and other interests. Today, I picked up the Japanese Entertainment paper Weekly LALALA, vol.447 for Friday issue, July 27, 2012. My friend Natasha Forero is a wonderful wardrobe stylist. She helped me put my look together. Her idea was clashing patterns that should be opposite in size of pattern and neutral versus a bright color. In the article, I was asked 4 questions and shared my current favorite accessories. I shared where I got my accessories and why I loved them. I'm glad I had the opportunity to be in their weekly paper. I also hope to model for JPy magazine in the future. My last feature was for Saturday issue of Sing Tao Weekly magazine & newspaper, where I modeled Kim Phuoc Jewelry for Unique Modeling Contest 2011. Thank you everyone for supporting me so far in my modeling career! I am grateful to have been in both magazines and hope to be in more future print work. Wondering where you can pick up a copy? Stop by any Mitsuwa Marketplace closest to you. The closest one to me is in Costa Mesa, CA. The magazine is FREE to pickup! Pick one up asap because this Friday will be a new magazine. By the way, I love when people leave comments so don't be afraid to show some love below. ;)

Enjoy!

Wednesday Dose of Skin Care! ;)

Good Morning Lovelies!! I'm not a certified dermatologist and no way a skin expert, but I always read up on skin care and do my best to take of it. Last night I found two great articles worth sharing. You will learn more on how to take care of your skin and understanding exfoliants. Don't be lazy, read all the way through!! I don't read that much and even I finished reading both articles from beginning to end! Hope that at least inspires you to read all the way. :P You will be glad you did, especially if you are really interested in protecting your skin. ;)

1) 34 Skin Care Tips

2) Questions about Chemical Exfoliants? AHA, BHA or PHA?

Gel & Caviar Nails!!!

Hi Lovelies! I have tons of things to share with you all today, especially to make up for all the days that I haven't been keeping up with my blogging. ;) I was at Sephora in the South Coast mall last month and they were doing sample Gel & Caviar nail polish on anyone that wanted to try them out. When I found out from one of the Sephora workers that they were doing nail polish samples, I had to get my nails done because I've never had gel or caviar polish. It turned our beautiful! I already had nail polish on and had the lady paint some of the nails gel and some caviar. I tried on three different caviar colors and two gel colors. After a couple days, I noticed that the caviar nails didn't last long. It would always get caught on my clothes, hair and practically anything I touched. I think next time, I would try applying a top coat to seal it and see if it would last longer. The gel polish lasted a long time and never chipped, dented or came off. The negative side is that gel polish is bad for your nails. It left my nail weak and peeling after I removed it. :(

I also want to share a few makeup looks that I've been experimenting. In both looks, I am trying out the new Make Up For Ever colorful Aqua eyeliners. I tried both the fuschia and teal color eyeliners. Also, the teal look, I added some gold eyeshadow on the tips of my nude lips to tie in the look with the gold shadow on my eyes. My other look that I'm wearing is a purple eyeshadow mixed with grey, although it's hard to see. The quality of the photos aren't that great, but please bare with me. Haha...I didn't even do this on purpose, but my nails matched with my looks! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this post!!! :D
