I was shocked when I came home a week ago to find out that I qualified for the Colgate SlimSoft VoxBox. I received this product complimentary for testing purposes from Influenster. I didn't make a post right away because I wanted to test it out longer. I noticed right away on the first day, that this toothbrush was lighter, slimmer and softer than my current Colgate toothbrush which is also a soft brush. It's wonderful for people with sensitive teeth and gums. I think some people might not like it because it's basic and doesn't have any extra features on it like whitening, tongue bristles on back, criss-cross action, etc. Even without these features, it still does the job on the outside of the teeth. I'm not too sure if it deep cleans very well since it has softer bristles. I feel that the med-hard bristles would give a deeper clean, but that's because like many others, I think that using a med-hard brush and brushing harder and longer means it will clean better. Dentists recommend to use a soft brush and to be gentle when brushing because if you brush too hard you are polishing your teeth away, making it weak and more sensitive. We don't need to brush hard to make sure our teeth are clean, so the Colgate SlimSoft is perfect for this. I learned about this the hard way, after finding out that my teeth became more sensitive. Moving on to the tooth paste. The Colgate Total Advanced Whitening toothpaste doesn't work for me since any whitening toothpastes that I use tends to leave a thin layer of white, sticky, film in my mouth. I'm not sure why this happens and my dentist thinks it's because I don't rinse well, which is definitely not the case since I've tried several times timing myself when I rinse. If it didn't have whitening, it would be still a good toothpaste to use. Lastly to review is the mouth wash, which I think is great. I love that it doesn't contain alcohol. I don't like when mouthwashes have alcohol in it. It stings my mouth and feels uncomfortable. The Colgate Total Advanced Pro-Shield is wonderful. It claims to give 12-hour protection against germs, but I'm not sure how I can tell whether it does that or not. I do know one thing, is that my mouth always feels refreshed and clean after using it. Once again, I would like to thank Influenster for sending me the Colgate VoxBox. I enjoyed testing it and look forward to future product testing.
